Light reconnaissance tank Panzer II Ausf L Sd.Kfz 123, known under the pseudonym “Luchs”, weighed 13 tons and was armed with a 2 cm cannon and a 7.92 mm MG34 coaxial machine gun. It could reach 60 km/h, with a range of 290 km. It was manufactured between September 1943 and January 1944 with a total of 100 units that were integrated into the reconnaissance battalion of the 9th PD (Normandy and Ruhr), the 116th PD (Normandy and Ardennes) and the 4th PD (Kurland).
