The 2 cm Flak 38 light anti-aircraft gun was the standard weapon in its category from 1939 in the German army, air force and navy. It represented a remarkable improvement over the Flak 30 by increasing its firing power to 22o shots per minute and decreasing its weight to 420 kg. It was installed on numerous anti-aircraft platforms on vehicles, submarine ships, fortifications… and was present on all the war fronts in Europe and North Africa. It was also commonly used against ground targets.
