British cruiser tank A-34 Comet Mk.1A of 33,5 tons, a speed of 55 Km/h and armed with the fearsome high speed gun 17 pdr, -equivalent to a 76,2 mm- that shot APDS ammunition. Considered one of the best tanks designed by British engineers, it entered service in December 1944 in the 11th Armoured Division and some 1.200 units were delivered before the end of the war. It participated in other armed conflicts such as the Korean War. The Comet remained in the British Army until 1958 and also served in other armies -South Africa, Ireland, Cuba… – in some cases until the eighties.
Vespid Models 1/72 scale model kit, in hard plastic, 8,8 cm approx. long to assemble, with photo-etched pieces, glue not included. Includes option of 17 pdr gun in metal. Decals for three different decorations of the 11th Armoured Division in Germany. Not suitable for children under 14 years old.
