The Diamond T Motor Company’s 4-ton 6×6 series truck was introduced in production in early 1941 and served in all theaters of WWII in US, British, Canadian and Polish armies. The Model 969 was specifically designed as a recovery vehicle and was equipped with a W-45 Holmes double-boom crane with two 5-ton winches, as well as a 15,000lb front bumper-mounted winch.
