3 ton 917t model 1938 truck was produced in the Yokohama until the foreign-owned factory was taken over by the state and dismantled in 1940. Vehicles produced before that were used by the Japanese Army throughout the whole World War II. The truck had a rear axle drive and was propelled by 8 cylinder, 3,6l engine. Famous Japanese artist Taro Okamoto was assigned to a unit equipped with the 917t trucks.
