M4 Sherman Mid-Production

Third type of the initial version -mid production- of the medium tank M4 Sherman. Armed with a general purpose 75 mm M3 L/40 medium speed gun that had a gyro-stabilizer, which although it did not allow it to shoot accurately in motion, it did keep the object aimed at it. It could fire high explosive HE and AP armour piercing ammunition. The latter was not suitable to defeat German tanks head-on, but the high explosive destruction capacity was very much appreciated among its crews, as its main targets were unarmored. The tank’s hull was welded, with a Continental R975 radial 9-cylinder gasoline engine and vertical spring suspension VVSS of the initial type.

Trumpeter 1/72 scale model kit, in hard plastic, 7,9 cm long approx. with 82 pieces to assemble, glue not included. Includes decals, two wheel options with and without spokes, rubber tracks and the possibility of quick assembly of the suspension or by parts. Not suitable for children under 14 years old.
