Steyr 1500 A heavy personnel carrier powered by an air-cooled V8 with a displacement of 3.5 liters and an output of 85 hp. With four-wheel drive, its large interior space and great fording capacity made it an ideal off-road vehicle. With a new body that included the spare wheel outside the body, it was produced from August 1942 to March 1944. Steyr Austria’s total production of the 1500 A model in all versions was around 12,450 units from 1941 to 1944. Numerous vehicles were as towed artillery transports Kfz. 69.
